About this study.
Researchers are studying the blood of lupus patients to develop better diagnostic tests and treatments. We looking for lupus patients who are willing to provide 1.5 ounces of blood from the comfort of their home. Your participation could help improve lupus care.
- Over the age of 18
- Been clinically diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)
- Have active lupus disease symptoms
- Be willing to answer questions about your lupus symptoms to help understand your SLEDAI score (a measure of lupus activity)
- Not on any lupus medications with the exception of Rituxiamb or Belimumab
- Understand and speak English
- Taking Corticosteroids, Hydroxychloroquine, or Anifrolumab
- Positive for HIV1/2, hepatitis B, or hepatitis C
- Fill out a survey top see if you qualify
- Sign an informed consent form to participate in the study
- Sign a HIPAA authorization form to provide us with access to your medical records
- Allow a trained phlebotomist to come to your home or other place of your choosing
- Provide a 45 mL blood sample (about 1.5 ounces or 3 tablespoons).
