Over the age of 18

Been clinically diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

Have a SLEDAI-2K score of >= 10 (SLEDAI is an assessment of your lupus activity and lab results and is usually performed at your lupus medical appointment)

Be willing to fill out a questionnaire to help determine SLEDAI score if unavailable

Ideally not on any Lupus medications with the exception of Rituxiamb or Belimumab

Understand and speak English

Taking corticosteroids, hydroxychloroquine or anifrolumab

Known positive for HIV1/2, HBV, or HVC

Fill out a qualification survey

If qualified, sign an informed consent form (to participate in the study) and a HIPAA authorization form (to authorize access to your medical records)

Provide a 45 mL blood sample (about 1.5 ounces or 3 tablespoons)

Allow a trained phlebotomist to come to your home or other place of your choosing
